CDA Insurance LLC offers several
full lines of Oregon Health
Insurance and related insurance coverage. We
compare the policies for you, so you only need to look
at 2 or 3 plans which meet your needs, instead of 20
to find the one that might. Information and applications
(online, and print & mail-in) are available for
individual, group, short term, travel, student, HSA,
and Medicare Supplemental policies. We also
have information about lower
cost or catastrophic
health plans for you to look at. We want
you to understand how the process of buying individual
health insurance works, so we have created a page that
describes the application/underwriting
process that people must go through to secure health
insurance coverage.
We help you get the best coverage,
the right plan, and the lowest cost. Our service area
includes Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove,
Tualatin, Lake Oswego, Gresham, Salem, Eugene, Medford,

FHIAP
The Family Health Insurance Assistance Program or FHIAP
was created by the 1997 Oregon Legislature to help low-income
Oregonians afford private health insurance. FHIAP pays
50 percent to 95 percent of monthly health insurance
premiums for adults and we they now pay 100% for children up to 19 years of age. The amount is based on family size and income.
For example, FHIAP would pay half the monthly premium
for a family of four earning up to $3,695 a month. FHIAP
does not help members pay for deductibles, co-pays,
or any other coinsurance associated with the members
health insurance plan. Click
here for more information.
Health Savings Accounts
Since January 1, 2004 no new Medical Savings Accounts
(MSA) may be opened, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
have replaced them and have been available for all new
accounts since that date. For this, we recommend
that you visit our HSA Section
which is dedicated solely to Health Savings Accounts. If
you already know that you want one, you can view the
HSA eligible plans from Regence,
LifeWise HSA Qualified, ODS
HSA 3000 and ODS
HSA Value plans, PacificSource
and Kaiser's plans.
Childrens Health Insurance
At CDA Insurance, doing everything within our power
to make sure that parents have options available to
find coverage for their children is a priority. This
is why we have created a special section specifically
to list and explain the new rules that apply to applications with children on them; either family applications or "child-only".. Visit our Children's
Health Insurance Section for more information on Open Enrollment Periods for applicants under the age of 19 years old.
Oregon Medicare Supplements and
Medicare Advantage Plans
Now you can find information about rates and benefits
that are available from many companies offering Traditional
Medicare Supplements and also rates for Medicare
Advantage plans from Regence, Secure Horizons and
HealthNet. We also have some information
about the new Part
D Medicare benefits.
Oregon Short Term Health Insurance
When you find that new job, most employers have a waiting
period before you are eligible for company benefits.
Temporary Health Insurance was designed to help in these
situations: between jobs; starting a new one; a new/recent
college graduate; taking a semester off from college,
if you are relocating to another area of the country,
or waiting for Group coverage to begin. In
Oregon, Short Term Medical Insurance is generally available
for 30-185 days and is designed to protect you from
catastrophic medical bills.
We have now developed a new web site that illustrates only short term medical products. You can visit our Oregon STM Web Site and compare quotes for several companies and also compare the benefits for specific plans.
We offer Group Health and Dental plans from Regence
Blue Cross BlueShield of Oregon, Lifewise Health Plans
of Oregon, Providence, Regence HMO Oregon, PacificSource
(Pacific Source), United Healthcare, Health Net,
Standard Life, Security Life, and others. Group Health
Insurance is available for 2 or more people working
for the same company. Many Partner and Husband and Wife
businesses do qualify. To get a quote for your company

Term Insurance
Term insurance is a temporary form of life insurance. The premium you pay is determined by how long you want the policy to last. If you choose a 10 year term the premium will stay level for 10 years. Actually you are averaging out the increased cost of the insurance for that l0-year period. If you choose a 20 year term your premium will be a little higher than the 10 year term because you are averaging out the increased cost of insurance over 20 years. At the end of each term period and before the age of 65 you can renew your policy for another term period. Now the premium would be higher because you will be averaging out the next 10 or 20 years of increasing cost of insurance. You can purchase 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30-year level term policies. Term insurance is not very flexible, but it will fit specific needs very well at a low premium.
